Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular California Shoreline
A helicopter flying above a popular coastal beach unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, finally descending rapidly and smashing into a row of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Footage shared on the internet show the chopper beginning to twirl above the beach then plunging towards the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck among palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders stated five persons were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on that day.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Information on their condition were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
